Grzybowiec is the highest peak of the Karkonosze Foothills, reaching 714 meters above sea level. It is located between Jagniątków and Piechowice. At the summit, there is the Grzybowiec Recreation Center (currently closed), which was originally the summer residence of the Chancellor of Germany, Otto Bismarck. During World War II, it served as the headquarters of the Luftwaffe command. The summit offers beautiful views of the Karkonosze Mountains and the Jelenia Góra Valley. Particularly fascinating is the legend about the hiding of huge treasures of the Third Reich in the vicinity, including the mysterious "Gold Train" and "Amber Room," though to this day no evidence has been found of the existence of these treasures.
